Orange Ginger
2 6-8oz salmon fillets
1 orange, zested and juice
½ tsp ginger, freshly grated
2 tsp honey
1 tbsp cilantro, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

In a small bowl, whisk together orange zest & juice, ginger, honey and salt & pepper to taste. Place salmon and marinade in a large zipper bag and allow to sit in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Place salmon on a nonstick or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400ºF for 10-12 minutes or until salmon is cooked through.
Enjoy!


Greek
2 6-8oz salmon fillets
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp dill, chopped
½ lemon, zest and juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp oil
Salt and pepper to taste

In a small bowl, whisk together herbs, lemon zest & juice, garlic, oil and salt & pepper to taste. Add marinade and salmon to a large zipper bag and allow to sit for 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Place salmon on a nonstick or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400ºF for 10-12 minutes or until salmon is cooked through.


Sweet & Spicy
2 6-8oz salmon fillets
1 cup pineapple juice
1 jalapeno, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp cajun seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste

In a small bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, jalapeno, garlic and cajun seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour marinade over salmon and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes. When ready to cook, add salmon to a nonstick or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400ºF for 10-12 minutes or until salmon is cooked through.

Maple Balsamic
2 6-8oz salmon fillets
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup maple syrup
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp thyme
Salt and pepper to taste

In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic, maple syrup, garlic and thyme. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow to marinate for 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator. Place on a nonstick or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400ºF for 10-12 minutes.

Chipotle lime
2 6-8oz salmon fillets
¼ cup chipotle in adobo sauce, finely minced or puréed
2 limes, zest and juice
1 tbsp agave
Salt and pepper to taste
Cilantro for garnish

In a small bowl, whisk together chipotle in adobo, lime zest & juice and agave. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Place salmon in a large zipper bag and add marinade. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes. Place marinated salmon fillets onto a nonstick or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400ºF for 10-12 minutes or until salmon is cooked through.

Easy 5 Ingredient Baked Salmon


Ingredients

1 salmon filet
1/2 cup salted butter, melted
4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
8 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a 4 sided baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the salmon in the middle of the foil.


2. In a glass measuring cup, combine melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, and dill. Whisk together.


3. Pour butter mixture directly over salmon. Pull the sides and ends of the aluminum foil up and pinch together, covering the salmon completely.


4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

1 1/4 lb skinless boneless salmon filets cut into 4 filets (5 oz each about 1 thick)
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp grated lemon zest
4 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice from 2 lemons
1 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced

Poached Salmon

INGREDIENTS
6 ounces skinless salmon fillet
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Peppercorns, to taste
1 lemon, sliced
Fresh thyme

PREPARATION
1. Fill a pan with enough water to submerge a fillet. Bring the water to a simmer.
2. Add salt, peppercorns, sliced lemon, and thyme to water.
3. Add salmon, cover the pan, and cook for 20 minutes.
4. Remove salmon from pan, and season with salt, pepper, and fresh lemon.

Pan-Fried Salmon

INGREDIENTS
6 ounces skinless salmon fillet
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Olive oil
1 lemon, sliced
Fresh thyme

PREPARATION
1. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet.
2. Season salmon with salt and pepper.
3. Lay the salmon on the skillet and watch the color rise to about two-thirds of the way up the salmon. Flip the salmon once and cook until done to taste, roughly 2-4 minutes longer.
4. Serve with lemon and thyme (optional).

Baked Salmon

INGREDIENTS
6 ounces skinless salmon fillet
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Olive oil
1 lemon, sliced
Fresh thyme

PREPARATION
1. Preheat the oven to 400˚F/200˚C.
2. Cover a sheet pan with foil or parchment paper.
3. Drizzle olive oil on the salmon, then season with salt and pepper. Top with lemon slices and thyme.
4. Bake for 10-12 minutes. (The salmon should flake easily with a fork when it’s ready.)

Parchment-Wrapped Salmon (En Papillote)

INGREDIENTS
Parchment paper or aluminum foil
6 ounces skinless salmon fillet
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Olive oil
1 lemon, sliced
Fresh thyme

PREPARATION
1. Preheat the oven to 400˚F/200˚C.
2. Fold the parchment paper in half, then open up.
3. Lay down the salmon. Drizzle oil and sprinkle salt and pepper. Lay lemon slices and thyme on top of the salmon.
4. Fold the parchment paper over the salmon, and cinch the paper together by folding it over itself along the edges.
5. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until internal temperature of salmon reaches 145˚F/63˚C.

5 Easy Ways To Cook Fish

Here is what you'll need!

Seared Tuna Steaks
Servings: 1

INGREDIENTS

1 tuna steak
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste

PREPARATION

On a cutting board, brush the tuna steak with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper on all sides.
Heat a pan or ridged cast iron skillet over high heat. Once the pan is hot, add the tuna steak.
Cook for 2½ minutes, without moving. Flip over and cook for an additional 2½ minutes, or until the sides of the tuna are opaque.
Rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Lemon Poached Salmon
Servings: 1

INGREDIENTS

1 leek, white and light green parts thinly sliced
Juice of 1 lemon
2 teaspoons salt
1 bunch dill, roughly chopped
1 8 ounce salmon filet

PREPARATION

Add the leek, lemon juice, salt, dill, and salmon to a pot of water, making sure that the salmon is completely submerged.
Bring the water to a simmer at 160˚F (70˚C).
Cook for 12 minutes, or until the salmon becomes opaque.
Remove the salmon from the liquid with a slotted spoon.

Pan Fried Sole
Servings: 1

INGREDIENTS

1 sole filet
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
½ cup flour
2 tablespoons butter
3 lemon slices

PREPARATION

On a cutting board, season the sole filet with salt and pepper.
Dip the sole in a shallow dish filled with flour, shaking off any excess.
Heat butter in a pan over high heat until melted. Once the butter begins to brown, add the sole and lemon slices.
Cook for 1½ minutes, or until the edges of the sole start to curl and release from the pan. Gently flip the sole, and cook for an additional 1½ minutes.

Beer Battered Fish Tacos
Servings: 2
INGREDIENTS

1½ cups flour
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
1 bottle beer
2 cod filets, cut into 2-inch pieces
Oil, for frying
Tortillas, to serve
Salsa, to serve


PREPARATION

In a bowl, add the flour, salt, pepper, Old Bay, chili powder, and garlic powder, and whisk to combine.
Add the egg and whisk to combine.
Add the beer and whisk to combine, until batter is smooth.
Dip the cut pieces of cod into the beer batter, ensuring each piece is fully coated.
Bring a large pot of oil to 350˚F (180˚C).
Add the battered cod pieces in batches, frying for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
Transfer the fish to a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
Serve the fish in tortillas, topped with salsa.

INGREDIENTS

2 cloves garlic, minced
1 fresno chile, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 6 ounce salmon filets


PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 400˚F (200˚C).
In a shallow dish, add the garlic, fresno chiles, soy sauce, and balsamic vinegar, and stir together.
Add the salmon and marinate covered in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, up to 1½ hours.
Bake for 12-14 minutes, depending on how rare you want your salmon to be.

►Ingredients◄
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 - 5 salmon fillets skin off or on
- lemon wedges (to serve)
- Salt, to taste
- parsley


►Instructions◄
1. Preheat your oven to broil or grill.

2. Place butter in a skillet Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 3 minutes, or until the butter begins to change into golden brown and has a nutty fragrance.

3. Pour in the honey and let it dissolve into the butter. Then add in the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add in the lemon juice; stir well to combine all of the flavours together.
4. Add the salmon steaks to the butter in the pan; cook each fillet (skin-side down if there's any skin) for 3-4 minutes or until golden, while basting the tops with the pan juices. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

5. Add the lemon wedges around the salmon. Transfer the pan to your oven to broil / grill for a further 5-6 minutes, or until the tops of the salmon are nicely charred.

6. To serve, drizzle with the reserved brown butter sauce. Serve with steamed vegetables; over rice or with a salad.

The Best Salmon Marinade requires just a handful of ingredients to bring out the best flavor in your salmon. It's the best marinade for salmon whether you are making grilled salmon or oven baked.
How to Cook Salmon
Salmon is a forgiving fish that is easy to cook. Salmon is most commonly baked or grilled. Salmon can be purchased in an entire filet, or in portions. Both can easily be baked or grilled.

How to Bake Salmon
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Season your salmon with desired seasonings. Wrap in aluminum foil. Place on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until salmon easily flakes with a fork. The aluminum foil will trap in steam and help cook your fish evenly.

How to Grill Salmon
To grill salmon, preheat an outdoor grill to approximately 400 degrees. Place your salmon onto aluminum foil or a pre-soaked cedar grilling plank. Close the grill, and cook for 12 to 15 minutes, or until fish easily flakes with a fork.

1 salmon filet
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup orange juice
4 cloves minced garlic
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove any bones from the filet and place into a shallow dish or gallon sized resealable plastic bag.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, orange juice, garlic, ginger, and pepper flakes. Pour over salmon. Refrigerate and let marinate 30 minutes.

3. Cook your salmon over a grill, in a large skillet, or to bake, preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place salmon filet in the center and loosely wrap aluminum foil around to trap steam. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

Salmon fillets become tender and flaky after cooking, and they have a mild to rich flavor. Salmon can be poached, grilled, fried or baked. Before you cook your salmon fillets, marinate them to add more flavor. For a simple marinade, combine sweet and savory ingredients with fats or use salad dressing. If you plan to marinate the salmon, you will need about an hour of prep time before cooking the fillets. Get more grilling and smoking tips and tricks from:

Examine the salmon before marinating. The fillets should be firm and have a pink color, and they should have a slight sheen. If the fish looks discolored or it has gaps between muscle fibers, the fish is likely no longer fresh and you should discard it.

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow container and brush Niko's Marinade liberally on both sides of the salmon. Cover the salmon and put it in the fridge for one hour to allow the flavors to absorb into the meat. Pre-heat your BBQ to maximum heat and ensure the grill surface is clean and wiped with a cloth that has been dipped in vegetable oil.

Remove the salmon from the fridge, gently wipe off the excess marinade, and place on the hot BBQ with the skin side of the salmon facing up. Cook for 3-4 minutes then flip the fillets and continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes until the salmon is firm to the touch while still juicy.
Mix the zest, pepper, and chives in a small bowl with a touch of Niko's Marinade and brush onto the salmon just after it is removed from the BBQ. Season with sea salt, serve immediately, and enjoy!

How to make Orange Glazed Salmon. This is a quick and simple way of making the most delicious dinner recipe which will be ready on the table for you and your family in only 20 minutes.

Here are the ingredients:

- 2 tsp olive oil
- 6 x 140 gram skinless salmon rested at room temperature 10 minutes
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tsp fresh rosemary
- 5 Tbsp chicken broth, divided
- 1 1/2 tsp orange zest
- 2/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 Tbsp honey
- 2 1/2 tsp cornstarch

Heat a large non-stick saute pan over medium-high heat. Season both sides of salmon with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil then add salmon and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate, leaving oil in pan.
Add garlic and rosemary to pan and saute 20 seconds, then add 1/4 cup chicken broth and simmer until mostly reduced. Stir in orange zest, orange juice, lemon juice and honey. In a small bowl whisk together remaining 1 Tbsp chicken broth with cornstarch. Pour into pan, season sauce with salt and pepper to taste then bring to a boil and allow to boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Return salmon to pan, spoon sauce over salmon.

It doesn't get much easier than this Easy 5 Ingredient Baked Salmon with honey and garlic sauce.This browned butter honey garlic salmon recipe with only 5 ingredients, takes only under 15 minutes of your time.The honey garlic glazed salmon recipe is so simple and so flavorful! Easy salmon recipe that is super delicious! This honey garlic salmon recipe is one of my favorite salmon recipes, it is soo good!! The salmon is glazed in a delicious browned butter honey garlic sauce, sweet with some tang.

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 4 - 5 salmon fillets skin off or on
- lemon wedges (to serve)
- Salt, to taste
- parsley


Instructions
1.Preheat your oven to broil or grill.

2.Place butter in a skillet Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about 3 minutes, or until the butter begins to change into golden brown and has a nutty fragrance.

3.Pour in the honey and let it dissolve into the butter. Then add in the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add in the lemon juice; stir well to combine all of the flavours together.

4.Add the salmon steaks to the butter in the pan; cook each fillet (skin-side down if there's any skin) for 3-4 minutes or until golden, while basting the tops with the pan juices. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

5.Add the lemon wedges around the salmon. Transfer the pan to your oven to broil / grill for a further 5-6 minutes, or until the tops of the salmon are nicely charred.

6.To serve, drizzle with the reserved brown butter sauce. Serve with steamed vegetables; over rice or with a salad.

How to Make Simple Grilled Salmon | The Stay At Home Chef

Simple Grilled Salmon is a summertime favorite! It's easy to make on the grill, and is light and healthy for a quick dinner that's good for you too.




INGREDIENTS

4 skin-on salmon portions, about 1-inch thick
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, cut into wedges



INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat an outdoor grill to high heat, about 500 degrees F.

2. Rub flesh side of salmon portions with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Place the salmon skin side up over direct heat on the grill. Close the lid and let cook 3 to 4 minutes until grill marks form.

4. Use tongs or a spatula to gently flip the salmon skin side down. Either reduce the heat to medium for a gas grill, or to indirect heat for charcoal. The salmon should release easily from the grill grates. Continue cooking with the lid close for another 4 minutes until salmon is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork. Salmon needs to be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.

5. Serve salmon with lemon wedges to squeeze over just before eating.
