FENG SHUI Cures for Common Home Issues | Julie Khuu

Please subscribe for stylish and simple interior design tips:

What I’ve learned from the years that I’ve been studying and practicing Feng Shui is that almost any kind of bad energy can be remedied.

This video is all about installing cures for common structural home issues that you cannot change easily. Those that deal with remodeling efforts that we may not have the budget, time, nor professional help for. But what we do have is the ability to incorporate Feng Shui cures to counteract these negative issues that could potentially block the positive chi in and around our homes. While these strategic cures may not wipe out “killing energies” completely, they can dissolve a great deal of it. Thus bad luck and bad home design becomes easier to bear, allowing us to harness more of that good auspicious energy in our lives and home.

Common home issues discussed in this video:
1:25 Stairs face the front door
2:56 Sink and stove are across from one another
6:10 TV in bedroom
7:42 Bed is located in front of a window
8:45 Mirrored closet doors reflect the bed
9:36 Front door faces an oncoming street

How to Attract Money and Good Luck | Living Room Feng Shui Tips | How to Feng Shui Living Room

How to Attract Money and Good Luck | Living Room Feng Shui Tips | How to Feng Shui

In Feng Shui, the living room is one of the most important spaces in the house. We can use the living room to enhance our wealth in many ways such as using decorations, lighting, plants and paintings. And Most importantly, there is a money corner in the living room that can help you attracting more wealth.

1. The direction of the living room
According to the Chinese hou tian bagua(後天八卦), NW represents the husband/father. If the living room is in the direction of NW, it is good for the husband's career and wealth.

2. The area and height of the living room
If the area of the living room is relatively large, it can help the husband of the family to enhance his career and wealth luck. If the ceiling is high, it can also increase his social status. On the contrary, if the size of the living room is relatively small or if the ceiling is quite low, these factors could limi the growth of the husband/father's career and wealth.

3. The location of money corner in your living room
The money corner is located in the corner diagonally opposite the entry of your living room. To find out which corner is the money corner, you can stand at the mid-point of the entry of the your living room, draw a straight line from the entry to the opposite corners, the one with the longest distance is your money corner.

It's also important to note that the corner has to be a solid corner, not a walk way. The reason it has to be a solid corner is because solid wall生can help gathering wealth.

Once you identified your money corner, you can put a wealth enhancer item in this corner e.g. money jar to boost your wealth.

4. The brightness of the living room

The living room should be bright. If your living room doesn't get enough sunlight, you can turn on the light to increase the brightness of the living room, and increase the Yang energy. If you have a large chandelier hanging in the middle of the living room, make sure it is a round shaped chandelier. to enhance the husband/father's career and social status.

However, if you have too many windows in your living room, it's not good feng shui because when you have too much Yang energy entering the living room, the Yin and Yang are no longer balanced, which could cause financial loss.

5. Pictures in the living room:
In the living room, it is best a hang pictures flower, lake, fish or tall trees with lots of leaves, This is because water and fish represents wealth,, flowers represents prosperity, and tall trees presents high social status.

6. Position of the Sofa in the living room
The sofa needs to be placed against the wall because the wall provide strong support and protection. However, if there is a heavy traffic behind you, it is not good feng shui.

7. Ceiling of the living room:
Make sure there are no exposed beams on the ceiling esp. if it's right above the sofa. The beams could create lots of pressure, affecting your health. similarly, if you have a sloped ceiling, it would also cause health issues. A remedy is to hang crystal balls on the beam to reduce the negative chi.

8. Indoor plants in the living room.
Avoid putting plants with leaves that have sharp angles The best indoor plants to be placed inthe living room should be the ones with leaves that are large, wide and slightly rounded, like an wealth ingot that can bring good luck.

Feng shui is a philosophy and a practice of looking at our living spaces and working environment and striking a balance with the natural world.Through implementation of specific design principles that promote auspiciousness, feng shui is said to allow your energy (chi) to flow through your home to improve your overall quality of life.

The Chinese words Feng and Shui translate to mean “wind” and “water, respectively. This concept is derived from an ancient poem that talks about human life being connected and flowing with the environment around it. It’s an ancient Chinese philosophy that helps people find balance in the way they live their lives by harmonizing their living spaces with nature through spatial design. The key is qi (pronounced “chee”), or the energy that connects all living things

Over the course of the last 30 years, the concept of Feng Shui has been developing a loyal following in the American interior design world, but the design philosophy has its roots in ancient China. The philosophy originated in astrology, with ancient cultures designing burial plots to align with celestial objects like stars. The Feng Shui practice discusses architecture in terms of invisible forces that bind the universe, earth, and humanity together, known as qi.

Historically, Feng Shui was widely used to orient buildings—often spiritually significant structures such as tombs, but also dwellings and other structures—in an auspicious manner. Depending on the particular style of Feng Shui being used, an auspicious site could be determined by reference to local features such as bodies of water, stars, or the compass.

Feng Shui Front Door Wealth | How to Attract Wealth | Feng Shui Main Entrance Remedies

Feng Shui Front Door Wealth | How to attract wealth | Feng Shui Main Entrance Remedies

The feng shui of our Front door is very important because it's the entrance for Chi or energy to come into our home.

A house is like a person. A person who is eating healthy can prevent many diseases. This is the same with our house - the front door is the 'mouth' of the house.
The energy or chi entering the house from the front door can directly affect our health, wealth and prosperity.

Top 5 Feng Shui Tips for your Front Door.

Tip 1. The Front Door should not be too big in relation to the size of your house.

The front door is the entrance for Chi/energy. If the door is too big, the good chi that brings opportunities and wealth could easily slip away.

Tip 2: Avoid a direct alignment of the front door with the back door or window.
When standing at the entry of your front door, can you see directly your backdoor or window. If you can, that' s not good fengshui because the chi or energy can rush straight out of the house without circulating in your home.

A good feng shui should be one where the energy enters the house from the front door , it slowly circulating and nourishing your home before flowing out.
This would create a harmonious energy flow around the house that can enhance your wealth and health.

A remedy for this type of layout is that you can place a screen or tall plants near the main entrance to prevent the energy rushing straight out of the house.

Tip 3: The front door should not be facing the toilet, the stove or the sink.

If you can see the toilet from the front door of the house, that means the good energy entering the house would be contaminated by the bad energy from the toilet, as result, affecting your health.

A remedy for this is to place indoor plants outside your bathroom because the plants can purify the energy emitted from the toilet.

Similarly, If you can see the stove from the front entrance, that's not good feng shui because stove represents wealth, and exposing your wealth to the public which could bring financial loss or even house burglary.

If you can see the sink from the front door, it's not good feng shui either because water represents money, when the energy rushing straight out of the house, your fortune luck also get flushed out quickly.

A remedy for this type of structure is that you can place a screen near your front door so you can't see the stove or the sink directly from your front entrance.

Tip 4: Keep your front door clean and tidy

The house is like a person, the Front Door represents the 'mouth' of the house, so it needs to be clean to let the fresh air coming through. Therefore, do not put your shoes near the front door. Instead, you can put some plants on both sides of your front door, the plants are like bodyguards protecting your house's safety. This theory is in line with what I've mentioned in my previous videos that the LHS represents the Green Dragon and the RHS represent the White tiger, both can provide strong support and protection.

Tip 5: Make sure there is no obstruction blocking your front door view.

When looking out from your front door, make sure there is no trees that are blocking your view. If there is a tall tree right in front of your main entrance, the tree could block the good chi or energy from entering your home.
