15 COOL DIY ORGANIZERS FOR CHILDREN

COOL DIY ORGANIZERS

Mike, my sweet nephew and I had fun building this LEGO desk organizer. The drawers really open and close, and we included a charging station for his iPod.

The basic concept of this design is so simple, and you could make all kinds of variations to organize different things – coins, marble collections, minifigure parts, school supplies, rubber bands, paper clips, magnets. Possibilities are endless!

The sizes of the drawers will be limited by what flat pieces you have on hand.
Each drawer is one single flat brick. We used smooth flat bricks along the bottom of the drawer opening to make the drawers slide in and out. The drawer handles are attached to bricks that have studs on the front.

Each drawer opening also needs bricks for the drawer to rest on.
We also used smooth flat bricks on the top of each drawer. It’s not necessary to go around the entire drawer with smooth pieces – we just used what we had.

Mike has this on his desk now, but unfortunately it will be a temporary build as it used SO many of our basic bricks! We’ll have to take it down and free up the pieces eventually. But it was enjoyable to build, and the fun of LEGO is building something different every time, anyway!

It is awesome to take some recycled milk cartons and make a nice desk organizer. This desk organizer is a great space saver to put away kids’ stuff such as pencils, crayons, scissors, and small accessories. It is super easy to make and you can be sure that everything will be organized and looking nice on the desk. You can use your favorite wrapping paper or fabric to create your own style. Happy crafting!

Here are the supplies you may need:

Empty milk cartons;
Craft knife and scissors;
Ruler;
Wrapping fabric or paper with colors and patterns of your choice;
Glue;
Ornaments (optional).

Thoroughly wash and dry the inside and outside of the milk cartons.
Cut the milk cartons in half in a tilted way as shown in the video. Now you’ll have two identical storage boxes from the cut out milk cartons.
Connect the higher sides of the two boxes and secure with glue.
Measure the sizes of the boxes’ sides and cut out some milk carton pieces with the same sizes.
Create some fabric pieces to wrap the milk carton pieces and secure with glue. Please note that the fabric pieces should be slightly larger than the milk carton pieces in order to wrap them.
Glue the wrapped pieces to the outside sides of the boxes. This will help to reinforce the desk organizer.
Create some fabric pieces to cover the inside sides of the boxes.
Use ornaments to decorate the desk organizer.
Place pens, crayons etc. inside the desk organizer. Here you go! Enjoy! ; )

37 EASY ORGANIZATION HACKS AND DIY IDEAS

DIYs and organization tips for your home

We all know how plastic is destroying the environment, and recently the destructions it's causing to sea life and the overall nature is 10 times worse than it was last year. So, in this video, we share with you some brilliant recycling tips and DIYs you can make in order to help save the environment as well as get organized on a budget. Watch our whole video to discover many different ways to re-use plastic and create fun organization storage using cardboard boxes. Don't forget to stay tuned until the end of our video to see some brilliant makeup organization tips that you'll fall in love with.

In the first video section, we show you many different ways to repurpose plastic containers. For example, you can re-use your fabric softener container and turn it into a beautiful wall organization display for your pencils. Simply take the plastic bottle, wash it and peel the stickers off. Then cut the bottleneck off just as we demonstrate in the video and let it set aside for a moment. After that take a picture frame, spray paint it the color of your choice and add a colorful card paper on the inside to give it some color. Then, take your plastic containers, stick them on the frame using hot glue and voila. You are ready to add all your stationary supplied inside and hang it on your wall instead of having everything scattered all over your desk.

We also show you some cool ways to re-use plastic containers in your kitchen. We show you how to create a beautiful holder for when you are washing your cutleries as well as a brilliant kitchen stand for your washing up liquid and your cleaning sponge. In addition to those, we show you how to turn a curvy plastic bottle into a cool miniature mannequin that you can use on your vanity desk to store your earrings.

If you have a lot of boxes laying around your house and you can't wait to get rid of them before you so try to give them a second life by repurposing them into brilliant organization crafts. We show you in the video demonstration how to turn your regular shoe boxes into a shoe rag just by setting them on top of each other in such a way that the shoes will be easily accessible to you.

Not all of us can get rid of our iPhone case even though we still have no use for it. So, in this video, we show you how to actually turn it into something useful for your vanity. You can turn it into a brilliant lipstick container that you can keep for display right in front of your makeup mirror to make your life easier. You'll be able to pick your lipstick and choose the shade you want instead of diving into your drawers to find one that matches your makeup.

Watch our whole video to discover many more brilliant hacks such as different ways to fold your clothes, towels, and sheets in order to maximize space and get the most out of your closet.
