**Ingredients For The Chicken Marinade**

- 1 large piece of chicken breast (about 11 ounces)
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce [Amazon Link:
- 1 tbsp of water
- 2 tbsp of cornstarch
- 1/2 of egg white
- 2 tbsp of oil to stir-fry the chicken

**Ingredients For The Vegetable**

- 2 cups of broccoli
- some carrot slices

**Ingredients For The Sauce**

- 2 tsp of cornstarch
- 1 tsp of grated ginger
- 1 tsp of grated garlic
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of oyster sauce [Amazon Link:
- 1 tbsp of brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp of white pepper (can also use black pepper)
- 1/2 cup of chicken stock

- Cut the chicken breast into thin slices.

- Marinate the chicken with 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of water, 1/2 of egg white, 2 tbsp of cornstarch.

- Mix that up. After you make sure that every piece of chicken is coated nicely, you still want to keep massaging it for another 5 minutes until you can feel that the chicken has a velvety texture. Cornstarch and egg white will give a lot of moisture to the chicken and creates a starchy layer to lock the juiciness inside the meat. That is the key to a tender juicy meat.

- Let the chicken sit for about 20 minutes and we will make a sauce. In a small bowl, add 2 tsp of cornstarch, 1/2 tsp of white pepper (can also use black pepper), 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 tbsp of brown sugar, 1 tsp of grated ginger, 1 tsp of grated garlic, 1/2 cup of chicken stock, 1 tsp of dark soy sauce.

- Set the sauce aside and let’s prepare our vegetables.

- Cut the broccoli into bite size and have some thin slices of carrot ready.

- Next, we will toast the vegetable in a pan. Heat the pan really hot then you add your broccoli and the carrot as well. Turn the cut surface face to the pan and wait for it to change color. In about 2 minutes, you can give it a little peek. If you see the color is nice like this one, flip them over and sear the other side. What I am looking for is sort of roasted broccoli. Trust me, this is going to taste really good. Set the vegetable aside and move on to the chicken.

- Turn the gas to the maximum. Add about 2 tbsp of oil. Wait until the oil is hot then add your chicken, separate them. Make sure every piece of the chicken touches the bottom directly. Wait for 1 minute or 2 and you can check the color. If you see it is nice and brown on the bottom then flip all the chicken over. Fry the other side. When both sides have nice color, that is what we are looking for. You can add the broccoli back to the wok. Give that a toss then pour in that delicious sauce. Toss everything together and taste it to see if you need more salt.

- Check the consistency of the sauce. When you see every piece of chicken and broccoli is coated nicely and the sauce is slightly thick, you can take it out. This is a flavorful dish so it is good to just serve it with white rice.

Enjoy your meal! If you have any questions about the recipes, just post a comment, will help you out as soon as possible!

One Pan Chicken with Broccoli - Dinner in 30 Minutes

One pan chicken with broccoli can be made up in literally 30 minutes. This makes it a great midweek meal. If your schedule is a busy one, and your family likes Asian food, this is the recipe for your. As an additional bonus, the ingredients are simple and most of them are probably kicking around your kitchen. Get the recipe:

As with any recipe, there are a few variations. First, any cut of chicken can be used. I like boneless, skinless breasts because they are so healthy and easy to work with. One pointer is to make sure your chicken is at room temperature to ensure it cooks evenly.

In terms of the rest of the ingredients, you can vary them according to your liking. For example, if you're a garlic lover, use more; on the other hand, if you're not, use less. If you find the garlic and ginger are a bit too raw, you can toss them in with the broccoli to get a bit more of a cook on them.

Wok Cooking Stir-fry Chicken with Broccoli Recipe

Simple Chicken with Broccoli Recipe cooked in a cast iron wok.

The Broccoli gets steamed, and the chicken gets marinated then blanched ahead of time, so this is a dish that can be cooked very quickly once all of the prep is done. I do the blanching in water, but most restaurants blanch the chicken in oil. Both ways will result in very tender or velvet chicken.

Marinade for the chicken: 8 oz Chicken 1/2 Tablespoon Rice Wine Splash of Soy Sauce 1 Egg White 1/2 Tablespoon Cornstarch

Sauce: 1/4 Cup Chicken Stock 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce 1 Tablespoon Hoisin Sauce 1 Tablespoon Honey 1 teaspoon black vinegar 1/2 teaspoon Garlic 1/2 teaspoon Ginger 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil Pinch of White Pepper

Thickening slurry: Water and cornstarch (I normally use 2 Tablespoons water and 1 Tablespoon cornstarch)

Coat chicken with the marinade and set aside.
Make sauce.
Steam broccoli until just tender then rinse with cold water.

Add chicken to slowly boiling water. Stir quickly to prevent sticking and turn off the heat. Stir for about 2 minutes until the chicken is opaque. Remove from water, drain, and let cool.

Heat wok on high heat, add oil, and swirl. Add chicken and cook until it gets just a bit of color.
Add sauce when it starts to boil add Thickening slurry.
When the sauce is desired thickness, turn off the heat and serve.

Teriyaki chicken and broccoli. Template-based cooking in 10 minutes

When using template-based cooking, I can cook chicken in many different ways and combine it with different kinds of vegetables. In this demonstration of template-based cooking, I am going to use the basic chicken stir-fry template to cook a dish with teriyaki chicken over broccoli and onion, which is cooked based on a basic vegetable stir-fry template. In this dish, the main ingredient is the broccoli, and the chicken and the onion serve as condiments. The intense teriyaki flavor of the chicken makes it appealing to all ages, particularly to children. The teriyaki sauce is rich and flavorful to go over plain rice. The broccoli and onion pick up the flavor from the teriyaki sauce, making them delicious and appealing. This is a great dish to introduce more vegetables in the diets of individuals who do not like vegetables.

Chicken and Broccoli Lo Mein in 30 Minutes

Chicken and broccoli lo mein is another one of our 30 minute recipes. In light of this, it makes a great midweek meal. I always add this to my busy menu. As always, most of the ingredients you will have in your pantry and fridge. get the recipe:

There are a few changes you can make. First off, we use boneless, skinless breasts. You can, however, use any cut of chicken you like. Just keep in mind that if you use bone in chicken cuts, adjust the cooking time accordingly.

This recipe uses garlic and ginger as spices. Some onion and other spices can be used, as well. In example, if you want to add some heat, feel free to use some hot chilli flakes.

Watch the video and give our chicken and broccoli lo mein a try. As always, let us know what you think.
