Dr. Harihara Murthy | Appointment booking no:9886026602
Consultant ENT Surgeon | Murthy Health and Research Center, Bangalore
COVID infection has thrown a lot of problems because of the shortage of healthcare workers and medical personnel to take care of the rising numbers of COVID infections. So self assessment to a certain extent will ease of the problems. So if a person has got sniffles that can be because of cold or any viral infection. So if it is a corona infection, what are you looking at? You are looking at a sniffles, irritation in the nose, irritation in the throat, as well as sometimes sore throat and difficulty in swallowing. There will be a dry hacking cough, and associated with tiredness, body ache that is progressive. So these are the symptoms that can be there for any fever. The reduction in the smile or the lack of smell or lack of taste.

Dr. Sunita Rana Agarwal | Appointment booking number : 080 2224 0736
Consultant Ophthalmologist | Dr. Agarwal Hospitals Shantinagar Bangalore
COVID is SARS COV2 as I explained and it is a virus. Whenever a virus will infect our eyes, there will be redness in the eyes, wherever a bacteria will infection our eye which can also with the viral infection. So we can have a viral infection complicated with the bacterial infection, and there will be redness and watering. So her will be a virus with redness and watering, along with bacterial contamination who will be watering redness, but also stickiness of the eye. When we want to differentiate with allergic water or dry eye, whenever you go out into the wonder when you are having more dryness in the eye, the redness or watering may increase with virus, whether you go in or out, infection is not going to make no difference. It is the same water, same bacterial contamination and stickiness of the eye. How are we going to treat this? If it is for virus, it is going to need specific antivirus. If it is for SARS OV2, we don’t have any. So we are going to go for the treatment for allergies and dryness allergies and dryness you have to make sure your eye is moist. So wash your eye well, if there is any infection, use hot fermentation and you want to starts using antibiotic drops an ointment if there is contamination with bacteria. So only bacterial contamination require antibiotic drop and creams, hot fermentation, for every one of them. Keep your eye moist and keep artificial tears, wash it frequent for all them. One f the most important ways to keep your eye moist is to use one of the ointments around the eye, not inside the eye so that not all eye has got a Vaseline base and artificial tears. More important is to use antireflective coating glasses and along with that, vitamins.

Can Covid affect our Stomach?Gastrointestinal symptoms of COVID 19-Dr.Ravindra B S | Doctors' Circle

Dr Ravindra BS | Appointment Booking No. 8762910298
Consultant Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist | Meenakshi Gastro Liver Care,Bengaluru
From this year, we have been having this Covid all over the world and we all think that covid can affect only the respiratory system. But unfortunately now the symptoms are changing. Most of the patients who come to the gastroenterology department of mild fever, mild body ache . Fever they don’t even recognize and they come with nausea vomiting, loose motions and extreme fatigue and abdominal discomfort. This for a common person this looks like a simple gastric and they take this acidity medicine like pantoprazole, omeprazole, ranitidine at home and they feel they are not better and they come to the hospital and when we ask them they tell about this extreme tiredness, extreme fatigue and body ache and mild fever. These are the symptoms we should think about in this Covid 19 pandemic. Rarely nowadays we are seeing some problems in the liver, some problems in the pancreas and some problems in the colon as well. But these are early things in this covid 19 and this is a new virus and as time is evolving, we are seeing so many manifestations of covid infection, but by and large who are having these symptoms of extreme tiredness, fatigue, not feeling to eat, nausea, vomiting and abdominal discomfort and especially diarrhea. If you have these symptoms then please think of Covid 19 and other than that and that we should also think of gastritis. During covid-19 in this period, if you have these symptoms you should always get tested, infact simple test like C-Reactive proteins and lymphocytes are low then we should suspect covid 19 and when we do covid 19 antigen test or throat swab, then we can see covid 19 in these patients.

Normal Oxygen Level | All you need to know about COVID-19- Dr. Ashoojit Kaur Anand | Doctors' Circle

Dr. Ashoojit Kaur Anand | Appointment booking number: 89715 44066
General Physician & Community Medicine Specialist | PCMH Restore Health, Bangalore
The normal oxygen level in anybody would be somewhere between 97 to 100-%. At times it can be a little lower 94 and 95. When somebody has underlying lung problem, it could be bronchial asthma, bronchiectiasis, it could be tuberculosis and that has resulted in fibrosis of lungs and the oxygen saturation has started dropping buy don’t have to get worried if it is showing 94 or 95. Even then it is fine. But anything less than 93% then it is matter of concern indicating that this person needs oxygen support and might have to be moved to hospital for oxygen support. Because the coronavirus mainly affects the legs, it is important for anybody who has tested positive for COVID needs to check their oxygen saturation levels frequently in a day to know what their saturation level is but it is important that you follow these reading. Using a proper method is the saturation is showing low levels, then discuss with your physician then or it is normal that somebody’s saturation is showing low levels. At times when the saturation even if it is dropping and the physician feels you can be managed at home.

A recurrent follow up is required to prevent recurrence. If there is recurrence CT scan is required to see a pathology that is not addressed with any medication which case a surgical option may be required to treat the causative factors as well as the effect within the sinuses.

SARS Means Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. SARS in the context of today, that is COVID19 and H1N1, which is more prevalent today are we are more concerned about it is that people do present initially wit signs ands symptoms of a regular respiratory infection like cough, cold, fever, running nose, these are seen and in our practice at home based care and covid care centre, in Bangalore, we see that 80% if the people only present with these kind of minor symptoms like cough, cold runny nose and fever.
