Master Sushi Chef Hiroyuki Terada is one of the top Japanese Chefs in the entire world and the most popular Japanese chef on YouTube.
At age 10, Terada learned the basics of sushi from his father and then went on to attend RKC Chef's School in Kochi, Japan from 1987-1989. He soon earned a nickname for his fast knife, attention to detail, divine presentation and ability to create new dishes and accents based on traditional Japanese cuisine. After graduating RKC Chef School, he was called to serve under Master Chef Kondo at Yuzuan restaurant in Kochi, Japan from 1989-1992. Quick & easy Teriyaki salmon | Salmon Teriyaki recipe | Easy & delicious
Fresh salmon fillets marinated & cooked in a delicious homemade teriyaki sauce. Very easy to make and perfect for a quick delicious meal.
This teriyaki sauce can be used for other meat as well. Check out my teriyaki chicken video here:
Serve with some hot white rice or some blanched noodles.
This recipe will be enough for 2
Ingredients you'll need:
400g Fresh salmon (2x 200g portions)
2 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs water
2 tbs white vinegar or mirin
3 tbs honey
1 tbs sesame oil
2 cloves of garlic (Sliced)
5 thin slices of ginger
Marinate salmon for at least 1 hour for best results. If your in a rush you can skip the marinating step.

Salmon Teriyaki - How to Make Salmon Teriyaki with 3 ingredients in 10 min
Salmon Teriyaki Recipe - How to Make Salmon Teriyaki
1.5 Lb Salmon fillet with skin, scaled, cut into 4-5 portions
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp mirin
Salt to taste
Set a large non-stick pan over high heat. Dry the salmon on paper towels. Sprinkle salmon with salt and pepper (go easy on the salt). Place the salmon in the pan skin side down (no oil is intentional). Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the skin is crispy.
Lower the heat to medium-low. Flip the salmon and cook for a minute. Remove the thin belly pieces. Add the soy sauce and mirin (avoid getting the skin of the fish wet) and cook until the sauce becomes syrupy.
Return the thin pieces back to the pan flesh side down. Flip all the pieces onto the skin side to coat them with the glaze all over. Check for doneness. Salmon is done when the flakes separate, but the inside still looks translucent. If the salmon is not done yet, flip it onto the flesh side, add a tablespoon of water if your glaze is threatening to burn and continue cooking until the salmon is done. If the salmon is done, but the sauce is too watery, remove the salmon from the pan and boil down the sauce until it's syrupy. As soon as the salmon is done remove it from the pan keeping it skin side up (if it sits in the pan it will overcook). Let it rest for 5 minutes and serve.

Salmon Teriyaki is one of my favorite Japanese dishes and easy to make at home. The sauce can be stored in a refrigerator for days. If you don't have Mirin, Japanese rice wine, you may substitute with dry cherry, dry white wine or rice vinegar. Enjoy!

For the sauce:
1/2 cup water
1 and 1/2 tbsp honey (or sugar)
3 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tsp Mirin
1/3 tsp starch or flour with 1 tbsp water for the slurry

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 6 minutes
Serving size: 1 salmon fillet (can be multiplied according to your needs)
1 salmon fillet
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon oil
Toasted sesame seed and green onions
Combine sugar, honey, soy sauce, water, garlic and ginger slices.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add salmon fillet and scoop the sauce over it making sure the fillet is nicely coated with the marinade.
Leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan.
Pan-fry salmon for 3 minutes.
Flip the salmon.
Pour the marinade sauce and allow it to thicken.
Served with steamed rice.

The recipe that I would like to present is not just an easy one but the whole components of the dish are more restaurant-style for your next level teriyaki salmon. Teriyaki sauce is of course made from scratch which you can save for your future use as well for any kind of stir fry dish and healthier ingredients like lentils, olives, and artichoke add a great Mediterranean tweak to complete your meal with absolute satisfaction. Salmon Fillet 1.4 lbs (0.64Kg)
Salt and Pepper taste
AP Flour 2 Tbsp
Lemon Zest Garnish
Soy Sauce 4 Tbsp
Sake 2 Tbsp
Mirin 4 Tbsp
Sugar 1 Tbsp
Ginger 5 g
Green Lentils 1/2 cup
Shallot 2 Tbsp
Garlic, minced 2 ea
Chicken Stock 3 cups (1/2 cup per cycle)
Kalamata Olives 5 ea
Artichoke, marinated 35g
Capers 12 ea
Parsley 20 leaves
Mint 5 leaves
Butter 1 Tbsp
Red Kale 2 large leaves
Olive Oil 1 Tbsp
1. Trim salmon to desirable portion size and season with salt and pepper, and lightly dredge with all purpose flour.
2. Mix the ingredients for teriyaki sauce and bring it to a boil once and leave at room temperature
3. Cook the salmon skin side down on low heat for a long time (follow the 80/20 rule) flip and sear the other sides lightly and rest for 5 minutes.
4. On the same pan reduce the teriyaki sauce to slightly thicker consistency and place the cooked salmon fillet skin side down and let the skin absorb the sauce for a while. Add butter and baste all sides of the fish for a nice coating everywhere.
5. For lentils, prepare the vegetables as guided in the video and starting from a cold pan, add shallot and garlic first to sweat for 3 minutes.
6. Add small diced fennel and cook for another minute.
7. Add artichoke, capers, and olives to cook for another minute, and add 1/2 cup of chicken stock and reduce.
8. Repeat the reduction process 5 times more (total of 6 times) and in the final cycle season with salt and add 1 Tbsp of butter and stir fry.
9. For kale chips, remove the stem and tear into chip size and drizzle olive oil and salt. Then take it to preheated oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
10. Plate as guided and serve immediately.

This Easy Teriyaki Recipe is one of my favorite healthy salmon recipes, and this was the first time I ever tried it on the airfryer. It is perfect for weight loss or keto if you adjust it by taking away the rice and adding lettuce to the salad for volume. Salmon is a great fish for keto also since it has such a high content of healthy omega 3's. You can throw this in with the rest of your weekly dinner recipes and simply rotate it in once or twice per week.

Teriyaki Salmon Easy Recipe
Teriyaki is a Japanese cooking technique where fillets of fish or meat are marinaded in a sticky sauce/glaze, and grilled or broiled. In this video, I show you how to cook teriyaki salmon, but you can easily adapt it to make teriyaki chicken, beef, pork, lamb, whatever. If you do want to make teriyaki meat, you'll want to increase the marinading and cooking times a bit.
