The Most Amazing Lasagna Recipe

INGREDIENTS

1 pound sweet Italian sausage
1 pound lean ground beef
1 large white onion, minced
5 cloves garlic, crushed
1 (28 ounce can) crushed tomatoes
2 (6 ounce can) tomato paste
1 (15 oz can) tomato sauce
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 teaspoon ground oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (divided)
1 pound lasagna noodles
30 ounces ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 pound deli sliced mozzarella cheese
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

1. In a large pot over medium heat, add in ground sausage and ground beef. Use a spoon to break up the meat into small pieces. Add in onion and garlic and cook until meat is well browned, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar, fresh basil, fennel, oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup chopped parsley. Pour in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and chicken broth. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer 1-4 hours, stirring occasionally.

2. Meanwhile, place lasagna noodles into the bottom of a pan. Pour hot tap water directly over the noodles, making sure the pasta is completely immersed in the water. Let them soak for 30 minutes, then drain and discard water.

3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese with egg, remaining 2 tablespoons parsley, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and nutmeg. Refrigerate until ready to assemble lasagna.

4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease a deep 9x13 pan.

5. To assemble, spread about 1 cup of meat sauce in the bottom of the prepared pan. Place 4 noodles on top. Spread with 1/3 of the ricotta cheese mixture. Top with 1/4 of mozzarella cheese slices. Spoon 1 1/2 cups meat sauce over mozzarella, then sprinkle with 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. Repeat layering two more times to create three complete layers. To finish, place a final layer of pasta, topped with another 1 cup of meat sauce to cover the pasta. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover loosely with aluminum foil.

6. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil, and bake an additional 25 minutes to allow cheese to brown. Serve hot.

You'll Need:

- 1 savoy cabbage
- 10 oz potatoes
- 4 oz shredded cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 16 fl oz béchamel sauce
- 4-6 lasagna noodles
- 3 oz butter
- 2 oz grated parmesan
- oil for frying
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tsp ground cumin

Here's How:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and boil a head of savoy cabbage for 10 minutes.

2. Separate the cabbage leaves from the head and remove the stalk in the middle. Cook the lasagna noodles in boiling water for 2 minutes. Peel the potatoes, boil them for 10-12 minutes, and slice them.

3. Brown the ground beef and season with garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.

4. Arrange the cabbage leaves in a springform pan so that they hang over the edge and lay down the first layer of potato slices.

5. Continue layering in the following order: shredded cheese, ground beef, ripped cabbage leaves, and a generous helping of béchamel sauce.

6. Finish with a layer of lasagna noodles on top. Then repeat the entire process and add another layer of everything in the same order.

7. Finally, place 1-2 savoy cabbage leaves on top and fold in the hanging leaves. Place the butter pats on the cabbage leaves and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven, pour more béchamel sauce on top and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake at the same temperature for another 20 minutes.

Now if that's not a delicious alternative to classic lasagna, then we don't know what is! The combination of savoy cabbage, béchamel sauce, and ground beef is simply divine.

Easy Cheesy Beefy Lasagna - You Suck at Cooking (episode 89)

Get started with 8 free meals – that’s $80 off your first month of HelloFresh by visiting and entering ysac80
The YSAC Cook Book is new available:

How to Make This Lasagna (or lasagna depending on how you feel about it

1 pound of ground beef. Brown it on medium high until it's the color brown.
Add in:
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon chilli powder
1 tablespoon cumin
Mix that all up and add in some water if it's really dry which it probably is
Add in 3 cups of basil tomato sauce or whatever tomato sauce
Cook that all together until it's hot and somewhat thick

Take a container of ricotta cheese (15oz/475ml) and shred in a clove of garlic and wangjangle tf out of that then add in a cup and a half of shredded mozzarella and also wandjangle tf out of that

Take an 8 inch baking dish and put a thin layer of sauce on the bottom
Oh don't forget to preheat that undoh on three seventy fundo
Add in a layer of sauce
Add a layer of expertly cracked noodles
Add in a layer of sauce
A layer of ricotta with two smug spoons
Then more noodles, sauce, ricotta, (once or twice more depending on the thickness of your ingredient distribution and your feelings on noodles)
Then add a thick layer of mozzarella on top. More than I did. Or use parmesan like a lot of people do.

By the way I was totally kidding when I said you could season the beef in the boring way with an onion. Lasagna has a very rich history and classic lasagna is very delicious, although I bet you could get a lot of people fighting over what classic lasagna is, exactly.

I just didn't feel like dicing an onion when someone had already diced the chilli powder and cumin for me.

Oh right, cook it for 30 to 40 minutes ish. After you put that foil on top. Then take off that foil and cook it for another ten a bit higher if you want to really melt and/or slightly brown that cheese.

Let me know what I forgot or what I wrote wrong here and then I'll fix it later maybe.

How to Make Lasagna

You love lasagna, but when it comes to preparing it yourself, does the workload always makes you think twice? No problem! This recipe not only simplifies the procedure for this classic dish, it even has two major advantages: you don't need a casserole dish and the end result looks so amazing, it's the perfect meal to serve your dinner guests.

You'll Need:

- 1 sheet of ready-made puff pastry
- 10 cooked sheets of lasagna
- 12½ oz ricotta
- salt & pepper
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped basil
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- bolognese sauce
- 7 oz shredded mozzarella
- 2 beaten eggs for glazing

Here's How:

1. First, lay the pastry on parchment paper on top of your work surface. Turn it so one of the shorter sides is toward you. Lay 4 lasagna sheets crosswise on top of the pastry, leaving a margin all the way round the edge. The lasagna sheets can overlap each other a little.

2. Now mix the ricotta, salt, pepper, basil, and parmesan thoroughly in a bowl. Put 4 large tablespoons in the center of the lasagna sheets and spread the cream evenly over the middle of the pasta.

3. Now spread a layer of bolognese sauce on top of the cream. Sprinkle a third of the mozzarella on top of that.

4. The next layer starts with two lasagna sheets that you place lengthwise on top of the mozzarella. On top of this, one after the other, spread more of the ricotta mix, the bolognese sauce and another third of the mozzarella. Repeat whole process one more time and finish your stack with two more lasagna sheets that you place on top.

5. Now pack the lasagna by wrapping the horizontal lasagna sheets at the sides over everything and gently pressing them down on the top layer of pasta.

6. Now comes the braiding process. For this, first cut away triangles in the upper and lower corners, as shown in the video.

7. Then make angled incisions in the pastry on both sides of the roll at regular intervals of just over half an inch. Then fold the upper edge of the pastry over the roll and work your way down, folding the pastry strips over the roll from alternate sides. Fold in the lower edge of the pastry before doing the same with the last strips of dough.

8. Now paint your finished braid with the beaten egg, then bake it for 25 minutes in a convection oven at 360°F.

******************************************************

Apart from non-meat eaters, there aren't many people out there who don't like a good lasagna. As well as being super easy to prepare, our rather innovative take on this Italian classic is great way to impress guests at your next dinner party.

You'll Need:

- 1 wide, rustic baguette
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 finely chopped garlic clove
- 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- 6 cooked lasagna sheets
- 5 fl oz béchamel sauce
- 5.3 oz shredded mozzarella

For the bolognese sauce:

- olive oil for frying
- 1 finely diced onion
- 12.3 oz ground meat
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- salt and pepper
- 6.8 fl oz tomato sauce

Here's How:

1. First, take a bread knife and cut along the top of the baguette about half an inch from the edge, forming a rectangular shape. The cut needs to be deep enough so that you can remove the inside of the bread. Once done, the bread should look like an empty loaf pan.

2. Now, pour the olive oil into a bowl, and add the garlic and parsley. Stir everything into a paste and spread it inside the bread along the bottom. Then place a cooked lasagna sheet that has been cut to size on top.

3. It's now time to make the bolognese sauce. First, heat some olive oil in the pan and sweat the diced onion before adding the meat. Fry it until it's cooked through and sprinkle the herbs on top. To finish, pour the tomato sauce on top and carefully give everything one last stir.

4. Next, spoon the bolognese sauce, half of the béchamel sauce, and the mozzarella in layers on top of the lasagna sheets in the bread. Repeat the same process starting with a lasagna sheet. You can be a little more generous with the last layer of cheese.

5. Place the bread in the oven and bake it at 375°F for about 25 minutes.

******************************************************

You'll Need (for 18):

- oil for frying
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 17½ oz ground meat
- 13½ fl oz tomato sauce
- salt and pepper
- 12 lasagna sheets
- 13½ oz crème fraîche
- ½ tsp basil, chopped
- ½ tsp parsley, chopped
- 5⅓ oz shredded mozzarella
- flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- bread crumbs
- oil for frying

Here's How:

1. Heat some oil and sweat the onions and garlic. Add the ground meat and brown it before adding the tomato sauce. Season the mixture with plenty of salt and pepper and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

2. In a separate dish, mix the crème fraîche, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth. Set aside.

3. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce from Step 1 on the bottom of a rectangular casserole dish. Cover with three lasagna sheets and add more of the meat sauce on top. Add two spoonfuls of the crème fraîche mixture and sprinkle a thin coating of cheese over the top. Add two more layers consisting of lasagna sheets, meat sauce, crème fraîche, and cheese. The very last layer will consist of just the lasagna sheets and the crème fraîche mixture. Bake the lasagna at 320°F for 30 minutes on the convection setting, if possible.

4. Cover the lasagna with parchment paper after baking. Place an upside down lid or a casserole dish that is slightly smaller on top of the dish containing the lasagna — the key is to find something that will fit inside the initial dish so that you can apply pressure. Depending on the size of the dish, add about three 1 L filled bottles and refrigerate for four hours.

5. Put the lasagna upside down on a cutting board and cut 18 proportional pieces.

6. Roll each lasagna piece in flour, egg, and bread crumbs — and then again in the egg and bread crumbs. Fly the pieces in hot oil until golden brown. Insert a wooden popsicle stick into the end, and voilà, your lasagna sticks are ready to go!

Sometimes making a lasagna can be overwhelming with all the different steps and layers, but this recipe makes it easy.

From start to finish, this recipe is going to take about 30 minutes. Your kids can help by rolling these up and topping with cheese.

Add a side salad and French bread for a quick and easy meal everyone will love.

These stuffed lasagna roll ups are a family favorite. My kids love when I make these, because they know they get to help make them.

I don’t know what it is, but any recipe my kids help make, they are more likely to eat!

Facebook group:

Here are the ingredients you will need for this recipe:
Ingredients:

1 box Oven Ready Lasagna Noodle
32 oz jar Spaghetti sauce or marinara sauce
1 pound ground beef, cooked
21 oz ricotta cheese
3 cups Mozzarella cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Directions: First cook your ground beef. You can do it from frozen in your instant pot (shown here:

If you haven't cooked your ground beef yet, you can push the saute button and cook it like you would right on a stove top!

Break your lasagna noodles in half and put in your Instant Pot. Fill your pot with water just enough to cover the noodles.

Put the lid on and turn the knob to sealing, not venting. Push Manual (or pressure cook) and cook for 2 minutes.

Quick release (or turn the knob to venting) when it is done cooking.

In a separate bowl mix together your meat and 1/2 of your marinara sauce.

In another bowl add your ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, salt and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.

When the noodles are done cooking remove them from the pot and put a spoonful of the meat mixture and one spoonful of the cheese mixture on each noodle. Roll them up and put in a pan seam side down.

Pour the rest of the sauce on top of the noodles and them sprinkle the 2 cups of cheese one top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes - or until the cheese is melted.

You’ll Need:

For the batter:

- 6 eggs
- 3⅓ cups flour
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup lukewarm milk
- ⅓ cup soft butter
- 2 tbsp crème fraîche
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 bunch of scallions, cut into rings

Extra:
- 3 large onions
- 8 oz bacon
- 10 oz sliced cheese
- ½ tsp caraway seeds
- 1¼ cups vegetable broth

Here’s How:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and cut the onions in half lengthwise, leaving the ends intact.

2. Peel off the outer skins of the onions and make several vertical slits in each onion half, like you would with hasselback potatoes.

3. Place the onions flat side down in a pan, add the vegetable broth and caraway seeds, cover with a lid, and let simmer for 15 minutes.

4. For the batter, first mix the eggs and butter together and then stir in the oil and milk. Combine the flour and baking powder and mix into the batter. Finally, add the crème fraîche, scallions, and sugar, season with salt and pepper, and mix well.

5. Remove the onions from the pan, let them cool, and then stuff the slits with bacon and cheese.

6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured springform pan.

7. Press the stuffed hasselback onions into the batter, transfer the pan to the preheated oven, and bake for 15 minutes.

Serve this mouthwatering onion cake with a few dollops of crème fraîche and fresh herbs for the full experience – this is certainly the tastiest way to stay warm this winter!
