Vitamin C:

This versatile vitamin can never wrong on your skin. Not only does it help in the production of collagen in the body, but it also has cancer-fighting (antioxidant) properties. Sounds amazing, right? Well, that’s not all about the benefits of vitamin C. Taking vitamin C supplements orally can boost the effectiveness of your sunscreen and reduce the harmful effect of the UV rays on your skin. To meet the RDA of 1000mg, you can source your vitamin C from citrus fruits. You can as well take vitamin C supplements as recommended by a doctor.

2. Vitamin B:

B3! B6! B9! B12! All vitamin B complex! We are talking about all of them. These B complex vitamins help improve skin health. In fact, it is one of the best vitamins for women. A lot of women have reported improvement in their skin and hair when taking prenatal vitamins that contain vitamin B3. When taken as supplements, the B complex vitamins help with both acne and skin aging.

3. Vitamin D:

The best source of Vitamin D is natural sunlight. Although health experts advocate you stay away from the sun and wear sunscreen. Nonetheless, the sun isn’t all bad. 5-10minutes daily exposure to moderate sun rays helps the skin to produce enough vitamin D. After the vitamin D is absorbed by the skin, it is taken up by the liver and kidney and transported around the body to produce healthy cells. More so, vitamin D helps in the treatment of psoriasis. 4. Vitamin E:

One of the benefits of vitamin E is UV protection. This skin vitamin strengthens the cell walls of your skin while reducing the harmful effect of the ultraviolet rays. Tropically applying vitamin E oil to skin injuries prevents scarring and further speed up the healing process. It’s important to mention the importance of moderation when using topical vitamin E treatment, as they can clog your skin pores when used too much.

5. Vitamin K:

This skin vitamin has been found to help in the healing process of skin conditions like scars, dark spots, spider veins, and under-eye circles. In fact, doctors use creams that contain vitamin k on patients who have undergone surgery because vitamin K aids the body’s process of blood clotting. And in the process helps the body heal wounds, bruises, and areas affected by surgery.
